The S. Mark Taper Foundation Auditorium and Illsley Ball Nordstrom Recital Hall are equipped with a Sennheiser radio frequency assistive listening system with both headphones and telecoil-enabled induction loops. Assistive listening devices are free of charge and can be checked out in the Bill Gates Sr. Recital Hall Lobby at the coat check. Patrons with telecoil-enabled hearing aids can check out a pendant and induction loop. Patrons without telecoil-enabled hearing aids can check out stethoscope-style headphones.

In partnership with Inclusive Arts OT and UW Autism Center, we are continuing to developed a set of practices based on Universal Design model to welcome everyone to enjoy our programs. This includes concert accessories such as fidgets, wobble cushions and noise-reducing headphones for all ages to check out at the Head Usher's Station.
Wheelchair accessible seating is available for every performance at Benaroya Hall. Accessible seating in Rear Orchestra offers barrier-free access. Accessible seating on all other levels is accessed via elevator.

Ushers are available to assist patrons who use walkers, canes, and other mobility assistive devices by storing the devices in the rear of the auditorium during performances and returning them to patrons at their seats during intermission and at the conclusion of performances.
Benaroya Hall provides courtesy wheelchairs upon request to assist patrons in getting to and from their seats. Wheelchairs are available on a first come, first served basis, and may be requested at the Ticket Office or the Head Usher station in the Samuel & Althea Stroum Grand Lobby. Wheelchairs are available to assist patrons in getting to and from their seats, not for the duration of the concert.
Accessible parking is available on a first come, first served basis in the Benaroya Hall parking lot, accessed on Second Avenue. Purchase parking when you buy tickets to ensure a spot in the garage, height restriction . Accessible spaces are limited and cannot be guaranteed; early arrival is recommended. Barrier-free entry is available through the main entrance on Third Avenue and can be accessed via elevator through the Benaroya Hall parking garage or the University Street Link Light Rail Station.
Accessible restrooms are located on every level of Benaroya Hall. as well as an ADA single use restroom in the Taper lobby accessible by elevator.
All levels of the auditorium can be accessed via elevators located on the east and west sides of the Samuel & Althea Stroum Grand Lobby. There is also an elevator that can bring you from the Boeing Company Gallery to the Bill Gates Sr. Recital Hall Lobby.
Many ushers are trained in first aid and CPR. If you need assistance, please alert the nearest usher or other member of Benaroya Hall staff.
In the event of an emergency evacuation, please follow the direction of our ushers, who will direct you to the safest location. If you require mobility assistance, our ushers will assist in getting you to a safe waiting zone until emergency personnel arrive.
