On stage, Xian and the orchestra will be joined by superstar pianist Yuja Wang for this one-night-only Opening Night engagement, performing Sergei Prokofiev’s dazzling Third Piano Concerto. Plus, the orchestra delves into Prokofiev’s symphonic suite version of Lieutenant Kijé, originally written for the film of the same name.

Following the concert, join us at our signature Opening Night Gala and toast Xian’s second season in our newly reimagined spaces — a landmark celebration marking a milestone in the history of Benaroya Hall and the Seattle Symphony.
