Designed exclusively for secondary students, Open Rehearsals invite schools to experience the rehearsal process of the Seattle Symphony. Take a behind-the-scenes look at how conductors and musicians create eye-opening, ear-stretching musical practices. All Open Rehearsals are supplemented with our guided activity sheet and program notes.
Taking place an hour before the rehearsal, a Career in the Arts Talk may be requested as part of your visit. This opportunity provides students with a multitude of ways one can have a career in the arts with individuals who work for the Seattle Symphony.
Registration is accepted on a rolling basis until we reach the 400 maximum student limit per event.
Schools will only be able to register for the first half of the Open Rehearsal, which can be anywhere from 45 to 90 minutes long.
Please note that the rehearsal order is subject to change.
All rehearsals are in the S. Mark Taper Foundation Auditorium at Benaroya Hall.

$5 per student; chaperones, teachers and adults are not charged.
60% discount for schools with free and reduced lunch percentages at or above 60%.
One adult chaperone is required for every 10 students.
Final payment of the invoice is due 30 days after event date.
The Seattle Symphony is unable to cover transportation costs.
