Community Connections Partner: El Centro de la Raza

Founded in 1972, El Centro de la Raza (The Center for People of All Races) is a voice and a hub for the Latino/a community in Seattle and King County, providing 43 programs and services for children, youth, families and seniors. The organization’s mission is to build community through unifying all racial and economic sectors; to organize, empower and defend the basic human rights of the community’s most vulnerable and marginalized populations; and to bring critical consciousness, justice, dignity and equity to all the peoples of the world. El Centro de la Raza envisions a world free of oppression based on poverty, racism, sexism, sexual orientation and discrimination of any kind that limits equal access to the resources that ensure a healthy and productive life in peace, love and harmony for all peoples and future generations.

El Centro de la Raza is one of more than 70 partners in the Seattle Symphony’s Community Connections program, which provides complimentary tickets to nonprofit organizations across the Puget Sound region.
