Aaron Li

Aaron You-Xin Li joined the Seattle Symphony’s Second Violin section in the 2025/2026 season. Born in Tainan, Taiwan, and known professionally as Aaron Li, he performed as a first violin section player with the Kansas City Symphony during the 2024/2025 season and was a violin fellow with the New World Symphony, where he served as Concertmaster under Michael Tilson Thomas and as Principal Second Violin under Stéphane Denève. Li earned his master’s degree from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, studying with Grigory Kalinovsky, and his bachelor’s degree from the Taipei National University of the Arts, where his teachers included I-Ching Li, Cheng-Tu Su, Tao-Chang Yu, Min-Yen Chien and Hsien-Ta Su.

An avid chamber musician and ensemble player, Li has participated in numerous prestigious music festivals. He has served as Concertmaster and Associate Concertmaster at the Spoleto Festival USA, was a recipient of the Keston Max Exchange Program, performing with the world-renowned London Symphony Orchestra, and was selected for the String Quartet Seminar at Music Academy of the West. His festival appearances include the Sarasota Music Festival, Dragonfly International Music Festival, Casalmaggiore Music Festival, Walnut Hill Music Festival and the NTSO Youth Summer Music Festival.
