39th Annual East Meets West Concert Series

This year’s concert is a celebration of the Moon Festival, a cherished tradition across East Asia when families gather beneath the full moon to reflect, reunite, and celebrate the harmony of the season.

Set in the Year of the Fire Horse, the program draws inspiration from one of the most dynamic signs of the Chinese zodiac—embodying passion, vitality, freedom, and bold transformation. Like a horse in full stride and flames lighting the night sky, the performance unfolds as a continuous, immersive journey—radiant, powerful, and driven by unstoppable energy.
The Seattle Chinese Orchestra (SCO) will be joined by featured performers from the SCO Guzheng Ensemble, the SCO Ensemble, and the ever-popular SCO Drum Ensemble, among others. Together, they will present a vibrant fusion of Chinese musical heritage and contemporary artistry, blending ancient traditions with modern expression in a seamless and dynamic musical journey.

As the first and only traditional Chinese orchestra in the Pacific Northwest, we are honored to continue our legacy of sharing China’s rich musical traditions. For over 30 years, CAMA has fostered understanding, appreciation, and friendship between American and Chinese communities through the universal language of music.
