Guitarist and composer Douglas Lora has established himself as one of the most prominent artists of his generation. A three-time GRAMMY® nominee, he moves with ease between the worlds of classical and popular music. He has collaborated with renowned artists such as Yo-Yo Ma, Paquito D'Rivera, the Assad Brothers, Anat Cohen, Marco Pereira, Jovino Santos Neto, Ney Rosauro, Marina Piccinini, and Paulo Bellinati, among others. He has performed extensively in renowned theaters and concert halls around the world as a member of the award-winning Brasil Guitar Duo, Trio Brasileiro, and Caraivana, as well as the newest addition to the acclaimed Los Angeles Guitar Quartet. Douglas Lora received his Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Southern California in 2023, studying under Scott Tennant. He recently released his first solo album, Choro!, a collection of his arrangements of Brazilian choros. Dr. Lora is on the faculty at California State University, Fullerton.?
