Seattle Classic Guitar Society presents Jason Vieaux

GRAMMY® Award-winning guitarist Jason Vieaux is internationally recognized for his virtuosity and expressive artistry. From New York’s Lincoln Center to Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw to the Seoul Arts Center, Vieaux’s performances are celebrated as “virtuosic, flamboyant, dashing, and sometimes ineffably lyrical” (New York Times), cementing his place “among the elite of today's classical guitarists” (Gramophone). A sought-after soloist, he has appeared with leading orchestras including The Cleveland Orchestra, Toronto Symphony, St. Louis Symphony, Houston Symphony, and Nashville Symphony. He has collaborated with preeminent conductors such as Giancarlo Guerrero, Jahja Ling, and David Robertson. Vieaux’s passion for new music has fostered premieres from Jeff Beal, Avner Dorman, Vivian Fung, Pierre Jalbert, Jonathan Leshnoff, David Ludwig, Mark Mancina, and Dan Visconti, among many others. Jason Vieaux is on the faculty of Curtis Institute of Music, where he co-founded the guitar department in 2011, and Cleveland Institute of Music, where he has taught for over 25 years.
